University of Queensland

The University of Queensland Red Lions currently compete in Division One of the Queensland Football Association having spent the previous three seasons as members of the Queensland Australian Football League. The club's overall tally of seven senior grade premierships includes a hat trick between 1961 and 1963, although the identity of the competition concerned has proved hard to identify. They endured a disappointing time in 2017, winning 4 and drawing 1 of their 18 league matches to finish second from last, a result that was repeated a year later. During their three season stint in the QAFL the Red Lions had also found the going tough, winning just 8 times in a total of 54 starts.
